WHAT IS DPC?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model focused on putting the patient first. That means treating them when they need it, never rushing patients through appointments, and being proactive with healthcare treatment plans. Direct Primary Care clinics don’t accept insurance, rather they choose to work directly with the patient, providing wholesale labs, no co-payments, and other costs savings along the way. This helps us to provide excellent and affordable care to patients that would typically go without healthcare due to rising healthcare and insurance costs.

With our DPC we offer a physical with basic labs once a year, unlimited acute visits, virtual care, and availability with our provider 24/7.

Tonie

Hello! I am Antoinette Thompson, but my friends know me as “Tonie”. I serve as an RN and the Medical Director for LIVE Hydration Spa Ames. I also support our cosmetic services for injections and have been offering those services for over 10 years in my previous business. I have been in medicine for 23 years serving as a Nurse Practitioner for 8 years in emergency care and carry my Doctorate in Nursing. I spent 20 years of my life as a bodybuilder obtaining my pro status in 2002 at the Team Universe in New York City. I enjoyed the transformation of the human form and developed knowledge for the various vitamins, minerals, and amino and what they contribute to health. I joined Live Ames because I believe IV therapy and wellness services fill a critical gap in today’s health system. I am blessed with an amazing daughter Chandell and a little grandson Kaven who reside in Oklahoma.

Robyn

I am a registered nurse since May of 1996, and I hold an advanced practice degree, APRN,  as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner since August 2018. My 21 years in nursing included pediatric, medical-surgical units & intensive care units, physician offices, and L&D. After receiving my Nurse Practitioner degree, I decided to expand my role in the medical field by empowering patients to thrive for personal health and wellness.  My mission is providing higher levels of personal health care by utilizing the nutrients and vitamins with I.V. Therapy & Injections.  I want to be the catalyst to help individuals to feel their absolute best.  In addition, I continue to educate, research and practice in other wellness therapies, including weight loss, and bio-identical hormone replacement for men and women.

Lorryn

I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who lives in Fort Mill, SC. My career as a registered nurse includes working in the ER, pediatrics, women’s health, nephrology, and rural family practice. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and have been practicing locally as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017.

I have a passion for connecting with my patients and engaging with them on a level unseen in today’s world of healthcare. Uncovering the true needs of each patient to feel their absolute best, has led me to shift focus toward advanced levels of health and wellness. Through LIVE hydration spa, I am excited to offer a host of services including IV therapies, weight loss, Botox, hormone replacement, peptide & vitamin injections. In my free time, I can be found gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and watching the Clemson Tigers and USC Gamecocks football.

Cassandra

I was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota. I grew up in a large family of 6 kids. My parents worked very hard as they each owned their own business and instilled in us kids a hard work ethic. I thank them everyday for this lesson.

I moved away after high school graduation to attend nursing school and play volleyball at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.  After graduating there I moved to Omaha for a job at the Nebraska Medical Center on their medical/surgical floor. I worked there for 5 years while pursuing my masters degree. Once finished with my masters degree through Clarkson College I worked at an urgent care for about 6 months before moving back to my small hometown in Minnesota to work in the family practice, hospital and ER. While I learned a lot at that job it was not the right fit for my family and we decided to move back to Omaha. I started a job at CHI in a family practice clinic and am still there. I absolutely love what I do and am passionate about helping my patients become proactive in their health care and wellness.

Sam

Hello! My name is Sam Boisen, I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director at our West Des Moines location. I carry my ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and Biote Hormone Therapy certifications. I’ve been practicing medicine and serving in ER and Pediatric care since 2005. I came to Live Hydration Spa West Des Moines because I wanted to offer a unique experience by helping clients optimize their health rather than just treat their symptoms. As a competitive athlete I understand the importance of keeping the body well hydrated and healthy as an essential step in maintaining energy and muscle recovery. I have also seen the huge impact that treating hormones can have on the overall health of our patients. Outside of work, I have a huge passion for fitness and enjoy competing in CrossFit competitions and doing “Go Rucks”. I am married to my husband Bryan and we have a blended family with 5 beautiful kids, four girls and one boy. Emmerson, Peyton, Isabella, Charlee, and Gavin. We also have a yellow lab named Bentley and a cat named Pickles.

BIOTE

Some locations also offer hormone replacement therapy using Biote. Biote’s Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, also known as BHRT, may help avoid unwanted side effects connected with a hormone imbalance. Find out more below or contact your local LIVE Hydration Spa for more details.

What Is Biote’s Method Of Pellet Therapy?

Pellets are tiny, custom-compounded therapies for symptoms that stem from hormonal imbalances. The Biote Method may help keep a patient’s hormone levels consistent throughout the day. The pellet therapy that Biote trains on uses hormones that are bioidentical to those found in the human body.

What Type Of Pharmacies Do We Work With At Biote?

The bioidentical hormones that Biote Certified Providers use are custom-compounded. Biote trains our providers to work with highly specialized outsourcing facilities during every step of the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) process. The pharmacies providing pellets employ rigorous standards and practices to ensure the sterility and potency of every pellet batch distributed.

What Kind Of Estrogen Is In The Bioidentical Pellets?

The Biote Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) uses bioidentical hormones, meaning the chemical structure is the same as the hormones produced by the body, estradiol. Our approach to BHRT using pellets may help avoid unwanted side effects.*

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

Each patient’s symptoms are unique, and so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization through BHRT. Most bioidentical hormone replacement therapy patients report some relief in as soon as four weeks, but full optimization may take up to six months or more. Some report feeling the most benefits after their second insertion. The bioidentical hormones for our hormone pellet therapy are customized to fit your patient’s specific needs.

Who Is Biote?

Biote provides training on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for medical providers across the US, so they can help their patients feel their best at any age. Our thousands of Biote Certified Providers nationwide are available to help people age healthier and look and feel their best using bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

What Is BHRT?

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) may help relieve the symptoms of hormonal imbalance by raising hormones to their optimal levels.

What Is Hormone Imbalance?

As we age, the production of hormones can be affected. Too much or too little of a hormone can have effects on the body, ranging from moderate to severe.*

What Is Hormone Optimization?

The Biote Method of specialized hormone pellet therapy uses custom-compounded pellets specifically designed to replace the hormones men and women lose over time.

What Is Pellet Therapy?

During pellet therapy, pellets are inserted subcutaneously into the body in a quick, simple, in-office procedure. These pellets will gradually be absorbed, dispersing hormones throughout the body.

Why Bioidentical Pellet Therapy?

Hormone replacement patients receive as few as two bioidentical hormone pellet insertions per year. The hormone is available when their bodies need it, and it’s a simple procedure done right in the provider’s office.

What Is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy?

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can come in oral, topical, and pellet forms. BHRT using pellets offers a consistent administration and may help address rollercoaster-like effects.

How Long Does A BHRT Pellet Take To Work?

Each hormone replacement therapy patient’s symptoms are unique; so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Most hormone therapy patients report some relief in as little as four weeks or sooner, but full optimization may take up to six months or more. The bioidentical hormone replacement therapy journey is customized to fit your patient’s specific needs.

How Can I Get Started With Bioidentical Hormone Balance Therapy?

Right HERE! At LIVE! Clients can schedule an office visit to test current hormone levels. Based on comprehensive consultation and extensive lab work, providers will determine candidacy for the Biote Method. Patients will schedule a quick follow-up appointment to review their results and, when appropriate, for pellet therapy insertion.

What Does Biote Do?

Biote developed a Method that offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in the form of subcutaneous pellets. With more than 2.5 million insertions performed in the company’s history in over a decade, we’ve seen many lives changed with optimized bioidentical hormones. If any of the hormonal imbalance symptoms mentioned above sound familiar, use our tool to begin your journey to wellness today.
